What type of Learning Sites can I create on Fabo?
When you create a new Learning Site on Fabo, you can choose between eight different Learning Site formats.
Each format gives your Site a slightly different layout and provides different options to help you make your Site look exactly the way you want it.
The different Learning Site formats are:
BLENDED LEARNING
- Good for online trainings and exercises
- Good for trainings that require completion
- Good for both synchronous and asynchronous trainings
This format is the go-to-format for all trainings that you create.
COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE
- Good for conversations in forums and sharing of knowledge and resources
- Good for peer-to-peer learning
This format is particularly good when you are creating a Site where your community’s members will be interacting with each other.
HUB
- Good for sharing information about projects
- Good for exchanging ideas about projects
- Good for non-linear trainings
This format is a good choice when you are creating a space to organise learning resources and information that are part of a larger project. Think about it as a dedicated “website” for your project where Learners can find all relevant information and share their ideas on how to move forward.
IN-PERSON EVENT
- Good for sharing material about in-person trainings
- Good for storing material about a specific event
- Good for synchronous trainings
This format will help you organise your material ahead of an event, i.e. conference, workshop or training.
LEARNING PATH (PROGRAMME)
- Good for creating a learning flow about a specific topic
- Good for collecting different trainings
This format will help you collect your trainings in one place and organise them in logical sequences.
ON-DEMAND
- Good for asynchronous trainings
- Good for fixed learning events and trainings that require completion
- Good for trainings and exercises that only take place online
This format will help you create a training that your Learners can complete at any time. It is similar to “Blended Learning”, but this one is slightly better for asynchronous trainings.
ONLINE LIVE EVENT
- Good for all online events, i.e. webinars, presentations or online workshops
- Good for synchronous trainings
This format will help you organise an online event and share information about it with your Learners.
RESOURCE
- Good for sharing information about a topic
- Good for just-in-time trainings
- Good for embedded templates and forms
- Good for how-to-guides
This format is the go-to format when you want to create a simple space to share resources, information and knowledge with your Learners.
