1. GET A LEARNING SITE
First things first, you need a learning site! To get a learning site, ask your Fabo Focal Point to create one for you. Your focal point is usually the account administrator who can create a blank learning site in your organisational space on the Fabo Platform.
In this section, you will learn about the different learning site layouts and how to set up your learning site before adding content.
What is a learning site?
A learning site refers to the place in your organisational space where content can be added and viewed. We have two different learning site layouts depending on the purpose of the learning experience.
LEARNING SITE LAYOUTS
On Fabo we have two different layouts to choose from when creating a new learning experience:
The Hub Layout
The Learning Site Layout
In this layout the navigation bar is placed horizontally in the top of the page. This layout is particularly suitable for:
- Organisational landing page
- non- linear trainings
- Collaboration space
In this layout the navigation bar is placed vertically on the left of the page. This layout is particularly suitable for:
- Online courses
- Completable trainings
- Learning flows for specific topics
To get you off to a flying start, have a look at our Content Library for site templates. These templates were pre-designed for different learning purposes. Write to support@fabo.org for a copy of your preferred template. Please notice that it may take up to three working days to receive your copy.Learning site settings
When you go into editor mode, settings options will appear on your left. The settings options are both important initially when setting up a learning site but equally important when you are about to publish and share your learning site. The latter we will get into in 3. PUBLISH AND SHARE
