Module 2: Working with violence

This module is part of the course on Violence against Women by CKU and Danner.

This module on working with violence has three sections:

• Introduction
• Working with women and children exposed to violence.
• Pathways for survivors of violence.

We estimate that the module takes around 45 minutes. If you explore the resources and engage in an analysis of your own context, you must expect to use more time on the course.

After this module, you will understand:

• What trauma is and how it affects behavior.
• Conversation techniques and the position as helper.
• Rights and opportunities for women exposed to violence through the system and analyze the availability, accessibility, use and quality of services.
• You will be able to analyze your own situation and map places where women can seek help.
