”Agriculture and Value
Chains in the Global South” is a learning initiative between 11 Danish
development organizations and companies that join forces to become better;
better at helping small-scale farmers in developing countries to exploit market
opportunities both globally and in their own countries.

Live-streamed debate on responsible investments for the realisation of the right to food for all. The event was a high-level debate with a number of key experts and practitioners on this global challenge, including Mr. Olivier de Schutter, the former UN Special Rapporteur on the right to food (2008-2014), who shared his views on the links between these two agendas. This resource includes recordings of the presentations and a summary page.
This section contains all the consultations that have been facilitated on the topic of Value Chain development in the Global South. The consultations are a part of a bigger project coordinated between 11 Danish NGOs and their partners.
The consultations facilitated are mostly in English, however, a few are in French, which will also be indicated in the consultation description.

It is available in English, French and in Arabic so that you can share it with your partner and field staff in hard to reach areas. It’s designed for situations when sticking to normal best practice is impossible.

This VSLA training app includes a simulation of a full VSLA cycle and also some video trainings in the different important elements of the VSLA methodology. The simulation and training has been based solely on the "Field Officer Training Guide" published by VSL Associates.

Introduction to business and human rights and the the UN Guiding principles

Pillar I of the United Nations Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) issues the foundational principle of States duty to protect against business-related human rights abuses. States have an obligation to protect, respect and fulfil the human rights of individuals within their national territory and/or jurisdiction in accordance to international human rights law. This includes the responsibility to protect against human rights abuses caused by third parties, including business enterprises.

The purpose of this course is to assist humanitarian practitioners to take the necessary steps to operationalize the protection of beneficiary data in programmes using electronic transfers, or e-transfers. The issues explored may also be relevant for practitioners working with personal data in non-cash programmes.

This course addresses the specificities of cash transfer programming for livelihoods in urban environments. The course is developed by the Cash Learning Partnership (CaLP) in partnership with the Livelihoods Centre and funded by ECHO

In this course we will look at the basic principles covered in the associated Guidance Note. This course is designed for humanitarian staff with existing knowledge of cash transfer programming, who want an introduction to linking CTP with Social Protection.
