In this course we will look at the basic principles covered in the associated Guidance Note. This course is designed for humanitarian staff with existing knowledge of cash transfer programming, who want an introduction to linking CTP with Social Protection.
This course addresses the specificities of cash transfer programming for livelihoods in urban environments. The course is developed by the Cash Learning Partnership (CaLP) in partnership with the Livelihoods Centre and funded by ECHO
The purpose of this course is to assist humanitarian practitioners to take the necessary steps to operationalize the protection of beneficiary data in programmes using electronic transfers, or e-transfers. The issues explored may also be relevant for practitioners working with personal data in non-cash programmes.

Pillar I of the United Nations Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) issues the foundational principle of States duty to protect against business-related human rights abuses. States have an obligation to protect, respect and fulfil the human rights of individuals within their national territory and/or jurisdiction in accordance to international human rights law. This includes the responsibility to protect against human rights abuses caused by third parties, including business enterprises.
