Sexual and Gender-based Violence is prevalent in all communities and countries in both times of peace and conflict. It is evidenced and well-known that women and girls are at increased risk of a variety of negative outcomes in conflict and humanitarian crises, including harm to their physical and mental health and increased exposure to violence and exploitation and cases of SGBV increases. Therefore, as part of our humanitarian duty to do no harm, all humanitarian actors need to incorporate SGBV analysis into all steps of our programmes.
On this site, we seek to enable DCA staff and partners who are engaging in Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) and humanitarian programmes to increasingly integrate SGBV mainstreaming, risk mitigation, prevention and response in the programmes.
