Due diligence is essentially about understanding and managing risk. It is the process of assessing whether an organization has the systems, capacities, and safeguards needed to be a reliable and accountable partner.
Passporting builds on that. If an organization has already undergone a credible due diligence assessment and meets agreed minimum standards, that assessment can be recognized and used by other ACT members instead of repeating the process.
The benefits are significant. It reduces duplication and administrative burden, saves time for both members and assessors, and allows us to focus our energy on what matters most: Strengthening organizational capacity and supporting local leadership.
