  1. How long is a CCM process?

  It depends on the church, typically lasting 18 months to 5 years. The most important part is the mindset shift during early Bible studies on identity, resources, and relationships. We're also testing hybrid models with online support.

  2. How is Tearfund’s model different?

  CCM employs an asset-based approach rooted in Scripture, led by the local church. Unlike others, it emphasizes foundational Bible studies and long-term transformation. We also integrate lessons from other models to strengthen our approach.

  3. Tips for presenting CCM to secular donors
  

  Emphasize CCM’s strengths as a community-led, asset-based approach that empowers local churches and communities to identify and act on their needs. While its foundation includes Christian Bible studies, many tools align with widely accepted development models. Secular donors may not fund the faith-based components, but can support technical interventions identified by communities, such as WASH, livelihoods, or education. A useful strategy is to use Christian funding for the facilitation of CCM, and then seek institutional financing to deliver the technical solutions that communities prioritize.
