    In the Humanitarian Field Manager course, SMC combines the groundbreaking online learning programme for humanitarian managers, FIELD (created by Save the Children, UK and World Vision) with thematic webinars for reflection and experience sharing related to your partnership with SMC/Sida.

    The online course is available in ENGLISH and ARABIC.



    You will earn a certificate from SMC visualising the thematics covered 
    and the time invested, and HPpass digital badges from the Field Programme to validate your learning. The course lasts for 10 weeks with an approximate time investment of 5 hours/week, a total duration of 50 hours.                                                                                                   Welcome to this SMC learning initiative! 

    • Is this course for me?

      Are you a field manager working in emergency response that wants to gain
      more knowledge of how to find, organise and mobilise staff and resources and 
      get these resources to people in need; thereby improving the speed and quality 
      of response in your organisation?!

      Then this course is for you with a focus to develop local, national, and international 
      staff who can prepare for and take charge of in-country operational programmes 
      in humanitarian responses. 

      This course is designed to support you to: 

      • Increase your understanding of the humanitarian system and operating context 
      • Contribute to the development of an organisational response 
      • Organise and lead teams in rapidly changing and challenging humanitarian contexts
      • Actively participate in disaster coordination and inter-agency cooperation
      • Better enable a humanitarian response to reach the most vulnerable populations
      • And understand how this relates to your partnership with SMC through thematic webinars
