I am the co‑founder of Togo Esomé and a crafts and design teacher in Denmark, but above all, I am someone who believes deeply in the power of creativity to change lives. My journey in Togo has shaped me profoundly. Working side by side with local communities, I’ve learned how much strength, talent, and cultural richness exists when people are given the space to grow.
The Kente weaving programme at Vogan Prison is especially close to my heart. Seeing the pride, focus, and hope that traditional craftsmanship brings to the inmates has been incredibly moving. It reminds me every day why this work matters.
My dedication to Togo comes from a genuine love for the country, its people, and the collaborations that have grown into lifelong friendships. I am passionate about supporting local empowerment, preserving cultural heritage, and helping build sustainable opportunities that people can carry with them into a better future.
