ABOUT IRCT/IFEG
The IRCT is the world’s largest membership-based civil society organisation that provides rehabilitation to torture victims and supports their access to justice. Comprising of 158 members in 75 countries, IRCT is a global centre of knowledge on the medical and psychological effects of torture and ill-treatment and a leading expert on their investigation and documentation.
The IFEG is an international body of 42 preeminent independent forensic specialists from 23 countries, who are recognised global leaders in medico-legal investigation. The IFEG is a key provider of technical assistance and expertise on forensic investigation to health and legal professionals and policymakers worldwide, including several state authorities and regional and intergovernmental bodies.
