Section outline

  • Welcome to this site about localisation

The purpose of this learning site is to raise awareness about what localisation is and why it is an important agenda in the humanitarian-development-peace sector. The site also provides resources to help you facilitate conversations about localisation in your organisation, no matter the level of previous knowledge. You will also find interactive learning opportunities that enable you to learn more about localisation at your own pace.

    How to use this site?

This site is divided into the below four sections. The first section, 'What is localisation', provides more information about the history and definitions of localisation. The second section, 'Work with localisation', provides concrete tools to start - or continue - the conversation about localisation in your organisation. The 'Resource library' gathers key documents, external libraries and videos, and 'Feedback' allows you to provide comments to this site.

If you need information about localisation, but do not have a stable internet connection, you can print a 'localisation package' and bring it with you.
