Introduction to the training
Church of Sweden and Dan
Church Aid has worked together with Learning Lab to develop this resource on
the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS).
The training below will take you through all 9 commitments of the CHS presenting the key message of each and highlighting differences from the preceding Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP) Standard. It introduces the entire CHS, but it presumes that the learner have some basic knowledge on HAP and accountability standards. The training is divided into six modules, each module accompanied by a list of further resources, which you find on this page in the resource section.
The training resource was designed to address multi-mandated partner-based organizations, where staff is already familiar with HAP. The training is aimed at programme- and project staff, but can also be included in trainings with partners.
For a nice, short introduction to the CHS, take a look at this nice short animation (approx 4 mins), developed by The CHS Alliance. It will give you an overview of the Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability (CHS) and the Nine Commitments.
