Workshop Descriptions
1 Mobile video as a knowledge sharing tool
In this workshop, Maj Navntoft from Danish Red Cross Youth and Clara Christensen from MS ActionAid will introduce why and how they have used mobile video in their organisations and give examples of videos they have produced. The workshop will also include a small exercise of making and editing a mini-interview on your phone using the app KineMaster.
NB! On November 27th MS ActionAid also hosts a full-day workshop to dive deeper into mobile video editing. This workshop is in Danish and is open for all. See this Facebook event for further description.
2 Building a chatbot - CANCELLED!
Unfortunately, this workshop is cancelled. If you are interested in learning more about the Build Capacity Smarter project's work with chatbots, please reach out to Ida (ihn@ms.dk) or Sidsel-Marie (smwp@dca.dk).
Meet the chatbot Didi. Didi was built by MS Action Aid to help young activists who have attended a training at a Global Platform make an action plan. Didi now speaks three languages.
In this workshop, Ida Hrönn Nielsen, Learning Specialist in MS Action Aid, will talk about why and how Didi was created and share insights from the development process and good advise for anyone who is interested in building a chatbot.
3 Online facilitation in webinars
In this workshop, we will discuss best practices for online facilitation and share resources that you can use when planning an online workshop, training, or meeting. The workshop will be facilitated by Stephanie Rahbek Simonsen, learning designer and research lead at DCA Learning Lab. Stephanie will give a live demonstration of Adobe Connect and share her experience with online facilitation in Connect.
4 Networked learning in communities of practice
During 2019, DCA launched nine Communities of Practice (CoP) on the learning platform fabo.org. In this workshop, Simon Skårhøj, head of DCA Learning Lab, will share thoughts on why and when CoPs are a good way of learning and sharing knowledge, experiences from launching the DCA CoPs, and tools for starting a CoP. In addition, Jeppe Vilstrup Hansgaard,
CEO of Innovisor, will talk about how to unlock knowledge
exchange in communities through social network analysis.
5 Learning experience design
How do you design good online or blended learning flows? How do you ensure that learners get full value of the learning design that you’ve created? In this workshop, Sidsel-Marie Winther Prag, learning experience design lead at DCA Learning Lab, will share some of the design tools used by Learning Lab and lead a discussion about good learning design principles.
