  •      Description of the Course

The aim of the CHS TOT workshop is to build the capacity of trainers to facilitate training on the

    face-to-face workshops.

     Who should attend?

This course is designed for people who already have experience in facilitating face-to-face training
Participants are expected  to  have experience of quality and accountability toward affected
communities and knowledge of the Core Humanitarian Standard. Your mission will be to develop
learning materials, so it´s great if you are familiar with Power-point and/or other digital tools.

    Course content

Working from a trainer’s perspective, this TOT will examine sessions on the Core Humanitarian
Standard: introductory course. Participants will reflect on the content and methodology of the
sessions, through the lens of adult learning principles. Participants will experience elements of the
course and critically review existing sessions. They will also have the opportunity to prepare their
own session plans in small teams and receive feedback from facilitators and their peers.

    Course format

The course will be delivered across 6 weeks and will involve around 22 hours study time. This
includes an introductory session on adult learning principles (1.5 hours), five remotely facilitated
synchronous sessions focusing on the CHS course (3 hours each) and 4 asynchronous team exercises,
lasting around 1 to 1.5 hour each. Participants are expected to attend all facilitated sessions and complete
team-work exercises in order to receive the certificate.

Please note that participants will need to have a stable internet connection to participate,
as the training requiers that you have you video on.
