This course gives you a basic introduction to the interaction between religion and development in order to build multilateral partnerships and to effectively plan, implement and evaluate programmes that are faith- and culture-sensitive.
The course is relevant for anyone who is engaged in advocacy, development and humanitarian work, whether you are a faith actor or work for a secular organisation.
The course has been informed mainly, but not exclusively, by resources from ACT Alliance and the World Council of Churches. It consists of 10 modules of around 10-15 minutes, which can easily be used in combination with face-to-face workshops. Module 1-3 focus on key information about religion and development, partnerships and planning, while Module 4-10 focus on different thematic areas.
If you have any comments or questions after completing the modules, please send an email to ACT Alliance's Community of Practice on Religion and Development.
Please forward any technical questions to DCA Learning Lab.
We hope you will enjoy this course!
