  • Welcome to a resource page for the Act CoS CRM workshops 2023

    We are delighted to work together to improve our capacities in Safeguarding and Complaints Response Mechanisms (CRM). By continuously building our skills and capacities we will be able to remain relevant, effective, and sustainable in our work. In 2021, ACT Alliance have revised their Complaints Policy, encouraging all ACT Alliance members to develop their own accessible, safe, and effective complaints mechanism. At a minimum, a safe referral system needs to be in place, addressing allegations of sexual exploitation, abuse, fraud, and corruption. Clear procedures need to be in place for community members to report any breach of Code of Conduct. Through this training process we can move forward together to improve our practice, maybe even become champions.

    To support learning, the CRM-training applies a three-tier and mixed approach, and this site is there to guide participants through the process. Please see the three sections below.

  • 1. Online preparation

    To prepare for the CRM-workshop, participants are encouraged to do individual online self-study. The organisations' focal persons will also be invited to an online group session with the consultant on 14 September 2023 during the ACT Forum Tanzania Quarter 3 meeting.

    Please see the recommended material below to use in preparation for the CRM-workshop, and also submit the Pre-workshop survey to let us know the questions that the material has generated with you.

  • 2. Onsite workshops in Arusha and Kayanga

    The CRM workshops are for Act CoS partners in Tanzania and will take place in Arusha on 26th and 27th October 2023 for ELCT, CCT, and LMC, and in Kayanga on 31st October and 1st November 2023 for ELCT-KAD and TCRS.

  • 3. Follow up

    To facilitate follow-up, participants will develop action plans including three key actions for enhancing safeguarding into program cycles and improve prevention of sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment (SEAH) and corruption. These are to be presented and discussed during a follow-up on-line session on 20th March 2024. The session will include at least the five focal persons together with the Act CoS team but all participants.
