THURSDAY 24TH October 2024 (10-11 AM CET)
LEARNING OUTCOME:
This session is mainly to prepare everybody for the course.
KEY APPROACHES:
Firstly we will introduce CISUS approach to project design and some of the key approaches for a civil society approach to projects.HOW TO GAIN THE MOST OF THE COURSE:

THURSDAY 31st of October 2024 (10-11:30 AM CET)
Learning outcomes:
During this session you will get to know the key elements of an effective project analysis, which is the first step in the project cyle., hereunder the context analysis, problem analysis and stakeholder analysis.
By the end of the session you will have knowledge of specific tools to use for the different steps of the analysis.Video introduction:

1. In your group per partnership: Organise an online meeting:
- Based on pp 26-30 of the project guide, do your own stakeholder analysis:
- Discuss which stakeholders are relevant to your next project. Use the template on pp 28 to list the stakeholders according to:
- Who are the 'Rights holdres and what are their characteristics?
- Who are the Duty bearers and what are their characteristics?
- What are other relevant stakeholders? What are their characteristics?
- Submit your results to the forum.
2. Individual preparation: Read pp 39-81 of the project guide. Read the two 2-pagers about ToC and LFA. - Based on pp 26-30 of the project guide, do your own stakeholder analysis:

THURSDAY 7TH of November 2024 (10-12 AM CET)
Learning outcomes:
During this session you will learn more about the design of a project. This will be based on the approaches Theory of Change and Result Frameworks.
By the end of the session, you will have a clearer understanding of how to elaborate a pathway and how to use this in the formulation of a result framework.

1. In your group per partnership: Organise an online meeting, where you:
- Discus the design phase and how the different tool may be useful for your project idea
- Formulate the "desired change" (Impact) for your project. Use the project analysis as a starting point for your choice.
- Continue with formulating a few preconditions for how the "desired change" can happen (minimum 2 preconditions)
2. Individually: read pp. 83 to 103 of the project guide (step 3 'Inception phase'). -

Learning outcomes:
During this session you will be updated on the inception phase in project planning, hereunder the preparation of a monitoring plan.
By the end of the session you should have a clear idea about how to develop a new project within your partnership and defined the first steps on how to continue from here.
